An Abyss of Ancient Tradition Liquified Beans

If you don’t know me then here’s a fun fact: I love black coffee. I don’t remember the first time I learned about coffee because it’s been in my culture forever, but I do remember the first time I brewed the delicious black liquid in one of the oldest ways known, Soorj (Armenian coffee) - thank you Simon’s mother for teaching me!

The name Soorj comes from action of slurping, like when we slurp drinks/coffee! Soorj is served in a tiny cup; it’s dense, thick, and you don’t want to drink the very bottom of the cup because it leaves a sedament of grounds at the bottom. Sometimes you can have your fortune read out of the cup once you’re done drinking it.

I’m not going to expain the process here, I’m just sharing my cup of coffee with you that I literally brewed today and needed to take a photo because, well, the sun came out today! haha.

If you are sipping on a cup of black (or milky) liquid annihliation now, cheers.
